The story behind Caju Knots
Born from many journeys, Caju Knots is shaped by the people we’ve met, the cultures we’ve experienced, and a life lived between Europe, Africa and Brazil.
XavierFrench helicopter pilot, kite instructor and breakfast enthusiast.
Through Priscilla, he fell in love with Brazil and developed a genuine curiosity for everything that makes the country unique, from its people and traditions to the little everyday details that often go unnoticed.
He’s passionate about sports, especially anything driven by wind and movement. He also has a keen interest in naturopathy and functional nutrition, always curious about what we eat and how it supports our well-being.
That said, he’s equally committed to researching the local culture… one caipirinha at a time.
If you stay with us, there’s a good chance your morning will begin with one of his homemade breakfast jars, layered with yogurt, oats, chia and seeds. They’ve quietly become a Caju Knots signature.
Priscilla Brazilian engineer turned innkeeper, yoga teacher, kite instructor and lifelong creative.
I was born in Pernambuco, in the northeast of Brazil, and have always been deeply connected to Brazilian culture, especially its traditions, celebrations and the richness of everyday life.
My curiosity has taken me to some unexpected places… and it’s probably the reason Caju Knots exists today.
Caju Knots became much more than a hospitality project. It marked the beginning of a career transition, from engineering to a life centered around welcoming people, teaching, creating and sharing the experiences that have shaped me along the way.
I’ve always loved traveling, often on my own. Every journey is an opportunity to learn, whether through the people I meet, the local food, or the different ways of living around the world. From Bali to Gabon, every place has left a piece of itself with me, and those experiences naturally became part of Caju Knots.
Somewhere between Europe, Africa and South America.
Living between Europe, Africa and South America has taught us that home can exist in more than one place. Brazil, however, has a special place in our hearts. Beyond that, we love discovering new destinations, whether through kiteboarding, yoga or the simple joy of experiencing different cultures. Every journey has inspired the way we live and the way we welcome others.

A simple, living place, to live in and to welcome others.
Caju Knots didn’t begin in a single moment, it was already an idea between the two of us, shaped through years of travel and the desire to create a place of our own by the sea.
It was in Parajuru, on the coast of Ceará, that this idea finally became real. After a kite session at sunset, we felt that this was where it made sense to bring it to life.
Caju Knots is our invitation to slow down, connect with others, and savour what truly matters in travel: simple moments, meaningful encounters and a sense of belonging.
Let’s meet in Parajuru
Whether you come for the wind, for the yoga or simply to slow down, there is a hammock here with your name on it.
